How Do Braces Work?

Traditional braces consist of brackets, which Dr. Salami will affix to each of your teeth, and a metal archwire, which he will thread through the brackets. The combination of brackets and the archwire creates tension that works to steadily move your teeth into position. Throughout your treatment, Dr. Salami will continue to assess your progression and will tighten the wire periodically, along with changing its thickness. Slowly but surely, you'll see your teeth shift into proper alignment, producing a harmonious bite and a fabulous smile.
